Well life is certainly a rollercoaster at the moment, we were asked to brew a commomorative ale, for the Spanish Civil War, which we readily agreed to, and lo and behold Brigadista ale came about.
It's all been so exciting, a tiny idea has grown huge, and we are overjoyed to be part of something so massive. We do supply locally and do an amount of swaps, but don't often go far afield,so the emails from London and Reading were making us think, fine, they were solved, however Ireland and the Channel Islands, let alone Spain itself is proving a little more challenging, all good fun though.
Just as I was getting my head round the fact that we finally had a website, and I had to learn all about blogging, and boring you all into submission. They bought Twitter into the equation and wow, so many followers in such a short time, and just to keep me updated, Brigadista now has it's own website, it's like buses, nothing for 2 years and then 3 come at once.
Oh well keeps me young.
Hello again, I practised a little bit on Friday and now I'm back, I don't think people will read unless you know us and are our friends.Allow me to intriduce you to the team. Boss Chris,Brewer Chris, Asst Brewer Chris, Deliveries Chris,Holiday cover Chris, Debt Collector Chris, Wholesale Chris, Sales Lou, Telesales Lou, Marketing Lou, Blogger Lou, Facebook Lou, so basically we were either very unoriginal in finding staff with different names, or we are a true microbrewery in every sense, go for the latter! And we won't forget the voice of reason when it all gets a little much, Sue Chris's lovely wife.
Every time someone phones, emails, messages you know it's one of us, so we love the contact but sometimes things take a little longer as we get fairly busy.
Chris's little task this week was to fix the platform our fermenters are on, as we're a 10 barrel plant I can only hope he was wearing his waterwings or they were empty, it would have been a lot of beer believe me, only wish I'd been there.
Hi folks, this is my first blog so go easy. I'm a small cog in the brewery. Mad sales woman with a love of cask ale and all things beer related, mother of 4 kids who are in training to follow suit. So many exciting things are happening in the brewery right now, but I don't want to bore you before we've got to know one another.
Work is now outdoing the hours in the day,
Exciting times at Blackhill Brewery! We've updated our website and are introducing a blog to keep you up to date with our new products and new stockists!
